Yeah, there's an option to gift the game in the email.

Got it for a penny as well, but the backlog is gargantuan and it's going to the back of the line, so it's just useless data on my hard drive. If I ever go play it and enjoy it, I'll find a way to get them some more cash. Appreciate the opportunity and business model, but I've got way more games to play than I have cash for more games.

I hope this turns out to be a big money maker for 2D Boy. World of Goo was a really moving game for me. There was such a purity to the experience of that game and I would label that game as art before I'd give the label to Braid. It was an amazing title and I feel more complete as a person having played through it all the way.

Bought the game for $1.11. Nice offer, bought also Championship Manager when they had a similiar offer.
Played through the first chapter and dont get the hype yet. Presentation is nice but at the moment it is not much more than a twist on the good old Bridge Builder. Are the other chapters any better? |

People are coming here and saying that *they* believe that WoG is *only* worth a penny. That's pretty insulting, and I suspect that some of the objection to it would be sheer affront that someone could think that about a great game. (It's worth adding, as a footnote, that I've just gone through a quick scan of the posts, and the number of people who actually claimed to only pay a penny - without some caveat such as them already having had a copy previously - seems rather few; I think this may have been blown out of proportion through people being horrified that anyone could think the game is worth so little.) |

I dont see the problem with people who payed a penny. I previously bought it on a steam sale. They obviously have made enough to where they feel they can just have a awesome sale like this.
Bought a second copy myself for just 1 cent. Too many people worship devs like there gods. OMG give them atleast a dollar! I can sense the anger in some of these post. Its too funny. ![]() |

Bought it today, props for having a .deb-file and it's great to see the game works 100% even on my old ass PC. The game is already getting on my OCD nerves though and I'm just up to chapter 2, heh.
I also played the demo back in the days but it's great to finally have the full version. |

When given the option to pay a cent there is no reason to feel guilty for doing just that. This is a two party transaction. If each party agrees that a penny is an acceptable trade for World of Goo, who the hell are you folks to say otherwise?
I'll gladly pay a penny for this game and feel no reason to justify doing so. |

I had $2.18 on my paypal so I just gave them 2.00
I thought about giving the .18 cents instead but figured who cares...I don't use this paypal money anyway. You guys judging the penny people should shut the hell up already Who cares what other people pay for it!! 2DBoy decided to do this, knowing full well that a HUGE percentage of people would only pay a penny. It's an experiment on their part with a game they likely already made lots of cash on. Get over it. Who knows, maybe a million people will give a penny ![]() |

To those that don't want to see the 2D Boy intro video every time you launch the game, just rename the following directory to something else.
\WorldOfGoo\res\movie\2dboyLogo to \WorldOfGoo\res\movie\2dboyLogo2 Also, and it's probably been mentioned already, there's also a World of Goo editor available on SourceForge http://sourceforge.net/projects/wogedit/ |
